Today I thought it would be fun to share some insights on which skin tones best match which gold tones. No matter which looks best on your skin tone – I always recommend mixing and matching and having fun with your jewellery look! That being said, if you’re looking for that one investment piece and not sure which metal type to get it in, this is a good guideline for which might suit your skin tone best!

Finding Your Skin Tone

The first step is knowing your skin tone.

To find this out, take a look at your wrist and see if the veins are blue or purple in colour. If you answer yes, you have a cool skin tone.If you see green in colour, you have a warmer skin tone.

If you see blue in some parts and then green in others, you have a neutral skin tone.Keep in mind, your skin tone differs from your skin colour. You can be naturally light skinned but have a warm skin tone.

If you’re purple/blue veined, you have a cool skin tone which looks great with white gold, platinum and silver.

If you’re warm skin toned, you will look good rose gold or yellow gold jewellery.

If you’re neutral skin toned, your best bet white gold and yellow gold.

I hope this helps you figure out the debate on whether to figure out which gold tone suits you best!
